Did you know that the only thing stopping your pump from failing is a small mechanical seal? well these mechanical seals have a working life span of about 4-5 years up to 10 depending on the grade of materials used, pool pumps and domestic water supply pumps should be serviced around every 4 years to prevent failure, lack of servicing is what generally leads to having to replace the pump rather than a quick service done when you can be without the pump for a few days.
